Clever. :) Kick's my entry's butt, for sure. At least as far as entertainment value and originality. Sound quality is a little low, though.

Lankie responds:

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it! Unfortunately I only had a cruddy USB mike to work with. Something I'll need to improve on I guess.
Good luck in NATA shenanigans! :D

Haha, not bad at all. It felt a little slow and emotionless, though. I'll admit, the joke was really quite clever. I can't wait to see how you'll fare. :)

hillrdavid responds:

Hmm you're not the only person who's mentioned the emotionless part. I'll keep that in mind for my next one. Thanks!

First thoughts when i saw that your video was on the front page:

"Oh....OH :C. Well, time to throw in the towel for next year."

"How could he be done with his entry already?"

"Three full minutes of animation? ...crap. I'll never be that fast."

Thoughts when i saw the video:

"Wow, that's a really unique take on the theme."

"jealousy confirmed."

"impressive, truly."

Great job. i look forward to competing with you.

I'm not a huge fan of stick movies, but I can say that I like how smooth the animation is. I would've liked it a little longer, though.

Lympha responds:

I'll try to make an animation with more length in the future.

Wow, that animation was beautiful. Seriously, favorited, man. and here's why:

1. You're clean--

There's no garbage(i.e. innuendo, explicit material), which is at the very top of my list for any given artist. There was only one profane word in the whole video(well, two: using God's name in vain counts in my opinion), and it wasn't to ruinous to the mood of the video.

2. The Mood--

It was light hearted, and sincere in a way. Too many flashes nowadays are about yelling and screaming, or making fun of someone else(admittedly I'm a bit guilty of this), which is really depressing. Animators who consistently stick to the more upbeat topics really deserve more viewing.

3. Effort--

This last point is more of a point of respect to the viewer. The quality of the art, the fluidity of the inbetweening, and the consistency of the lighting throughout the video all say one thing really: You care about giving the viewer a good end product. And caring in such an apathetic environment like Newgrounds says even more about your overall character. which is why both you and the movie are going on my favorites list. :)

Shamoozal responds:

Thanks for the well thought out response. It's funny you bring up my swearing in this video, if you actually watch all my other shorts you'll see that this is one of the only times I swear! I actually had a big debate in my head if I should say "God dammit" or not.

I remember learning about the "i message" in like 3rd grade. Tried it out, got beat up. I finally realized that it's much easier just to take comfort in how low their salary is going to be compared to yours.

Nostalgic in a way. A horrifyingly depressing nightmarish childhood memory kind of way, I mean.

Good Job! :O)

Yeah, I'm a little sick of it, too...

Just because there's a lot of screaming in a flash doesn't mean that it's copied egoraptor. It bugs the crap out of me. There was sick and twisted humour before egoraptor.

It's funny, y'know. The reason why I started animating was because of Edd, too. Only, it wasn't because of how great he was at animating. It was because of how bad he was originally. His early films (when he was my age) made me realize that any guy could go out and make a cartoon, and that, if you keep making them, eventually you'll get good at it.

Yusuf responds:

Exactly :) thanks for the 5
